There are so many beautiful moments that happen at weddings, from the proud look on a father's face, the nervous but excited anticipation of the groom, the cheeky flower girl, and of course the joy of a couple who are deeply in love! These are the important moments and memories that tell the story of your day, and you want to have full trust that your photographer will capture it all for you! I’m all about giving you the confidence to relax, have fun and enjoy every minute! During the day I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible, particularly for the important moments such as the ceremony and speeches. There is nothing worse than a photographer who steals focus! My style is a mix of natural, romantic, and fun, plus I'm obsessed with chasing the perfect light!
Once you have seen your gallery of images you can have fun spending your print credit on either lustre or fine art prints, canvas, framed prints or thank you cards which can be ordered directly from the website and a coupon code will be provided. What's your vibe like on the day?
I'm definitely a people person who doesn't mind a bit of cheeky banter with the bridal party, but I also like to be a calming presence for my couples. I can take charge and keep things running to the schedule, but I like to have fun along the way. As anyone who's ever been to a wedding knows, the family photos can be a big thing to organise, but don't worry, I'm perfectly capable of wrangling those unruly relatives!
How long after the wedding will I receive my photos?
I always do a sneak peek of around 5 images within a couple days of the big event, the rest of the images are processed and ready to view within 8 to 10 weeks. During that time I also create a highlight slideshow of around 100 images for you to share with family and friends.
Can I print my own photos?
Yes, absolutely! I do have a professional printing service, however you will receive a high res Jpeg copy of all the images and you're welcome to print them at your leisure.
Please be aware poorer quality printers can greatly impact the colour and contrast of the finished image. I'd recommend that any special ones for your wall or to give family members are done through a professional lab.
Do you travel?
Most definitely! I love photographing in new locations and discovering gorgeous new venues. Depending on how far away the location is in from Young, travel and/or accommodation fees may be applied. This will be determined at the time of booking, based on the hours covered in chosen package and the location.
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Absolutely and it's a lovely way to get to know my couples before the big day. A one hour session costs $550 and includes 10 high res digital images.
Destination Weddings?
Yes please! I absolutely love to travel and would be happy to create a customised quote to suit your fabulous wedding plans. So far I've travelled for weddings in Ireland, Fiji and the Kimberley, WA.
Depending on the location of the wedding the total price will vary, with airfares, accommodation, car hire etc to be considered in the quote.
Do you have a second shooter?
Although alone I can cover all the special moments and some, a second photographer can be a great advantage as they can candidly snap lots of wonderful moments of guests and the bridal party while I'm focusing on the more formal aspects of the day. I have a wonderful group of photographers whom I work with regularly, and all have many years experience. If you would like to have a second photographer involved in the day, the cost would be an additional $800.
Do you have insurance?
I have public liability insurance and all of my camera equipment is also insured.
How much experience do you have?
I have been working as a full-time photographer since 2005, and photographed my first wedding in 2008. On average I photograph around 20 - 30 weddings a year.
How far in advance should I book?
I generally find that most clients book anywhere between 8 months to a year and a half in advance. I only ever do one wedding per day so it's best to book in as soon as your date is confirmed in order not to miss out.
Can I add extra hours to a package?
Yes, I charge $500 per extra hour
