FAMILY PORTRAITS

Life, love, family, and friends are things we all hold dear in our hearts, and to me are wonderful things to capture! Enjoy a natural approach to photography on location, or in the comfort of your own home. I want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience. I'm all about capturing real emotions and the connection that people share, there's nothing like a photo of someone in the midst of a good belly laugh! I'm also massive dog fan, and pets of all species are very welcome to be included in your portrait session. Once you've seen all the photos from the shoot there are many different ways you can choose to showcase you favourite images. I have collections available with digital image packages or I also offer a selection of beautiful Australian made albums, along with a range of professional print and canvas options.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you travel?

Absolutely! I love photographing in new locations and I think it's much nicer to shoot in a place that either has special meaning, or you feel comfortable in. Depending on how far away the location is in from Young there may be a travel fee involved. My standard travel rate is $0.95 per kilometre but I'm happy to quote at the time of booking.

How long is a portrait session?

My session fee is for an hour shoot, but I'm happy to add extra hours if you have a large family and feel like you would need more time to cover all the important group shots. My additional hourly rate is $150/hr

What should we wear?

I recommend choosing a complimentary colour palette that doesn't involve any clashing colours. Neutral tones are always classic but I also think the combination of navy/blue, white and beige work well together. It can also look good if there's a pop of colour with some members wearing majority neutral tones but then a touch of say red earrings, necklace, scarf or tie. For children I would suggest avoiding big logos, brand names or cartoons as they can date the images and also draw attention away from the face.

How long until I see the images?

Depending on how busy the season is your gallery will be ready to view within 2-3 weeks after the photo shoot.

What to expect on the day?

My main goal is to make everyone laugh, so be prepared to be asked lots of silly questions like "If dad was an animal what would he be and why?"
Throughout the session I capture a range of poses and move around to find different backdrops. I like to capture a mixture or formal and candid moments.

Are all the digital files included from the shoot?

No, not all the digital files are included. My session fee includes two 6x8 inch and one 8x10 inch prints. If you would like digital copies then you can choose to purchase a package from one of my collections.
